Join Our Family
In Hebrews 10, the Bible places a high priority on the weekly assembling of ourselves together as believers in Jesus Christ. We know that joining yourself and your family to a community is a big decision. Here are some of the commonly asked questions regarding membership.
How do I join First Baptist Church?
You must be a Christian and baptized by Biblical immersion to become an active member of First Baptist Church. Those desiring to join our church may do so in three ways. If you are coming from another Baptist church, your membership can be moved from that church to ours. If you are a believer, but have been a member of another church, you may join by a statement of faith. Finally, you may join the church by being baptized.
What if I have never been baptized?
Before you become a member, you may wish to speak to a minister, a member, or the senior pastor about baptism. Our church believes that baptism is a scriptural act of obedience. We see both Jesus and His followers baptized throughout the Scriptures as a symbol of conversion to Christ.
May I speak with someone about your church's doctrine and theology before I join?
We would love to speak with you concerning any questions on matters of doctrine or theology that you might have. Paul tells Titus to put a high emphasis on the understanding of theology and doctrine. We want to encourage thoughtful discussions about what we believe and why it matters to our daily lives.
